"I tried this tea last year and adored it. Strong smoky flavour that was smoothed out by caramel. It's still a very nice tea that deserves its place on the tea shelf, but it doesn't quite carry the strength of the smoke or caramel like it used to- not enough that I won't repurchase, but certainly a shame given how wonderful it was with the stronger notes. As in the title, almost perfect."

"I was expecting a lovely sweet toffee smell with a hint of smokiness, perfect for a cosy autumn evening. Unfortunately, my nose had other ideas🥲 The smell immediately transported me back to the JORVIK Viking Centre in York, where I once visited and nearly lost the will to live. Now, every time I open the packet, I'm reminded of that experience, and I genuinely cannot unsmell it! I'm sure it's lovely if you don't have this very specific historical trauma, but sadly, my brain has made other associations 🫠 Lovely idea, just not quite the cosy toffee experience I was hoping for!"

"It is a great taste full and through as a lot say, however a word of warning for slavic folks i grew up with smoked fish and preserved fish, i found out that the phenols between lapsang tea and fish are very close so you do smell like a heavy fermented fish but the taste is realy good"
